During the Houston Rodeo we took Grace on a Saturday to see all the livestock that was there. On this particular day we did not go to the rodeo. We arrived at 10:00 am and left by 1:00. Grace loved it!!
Waiting for the train.
Grace liked the idea of being able to stand as the train moved and be able to see all the things go by out the window.
The first thing we did upon entering was go to the petting zoo. We figured if we did this first thing it would be less crowded. It was still crowded but less so than when we left. Grace had fun walking around and just looking at the animals and trying to pet them. They had pigs, goats, sheep, chickens, deer, llamas and I'm sure I'm forgetting one or two.

She kept walking by this llama but never gave it a second thought or even really noticed that it was there.
Sorry not the greatest video. I didn't realize Mark was recording.

But eventually she did.

We decided to get some food to feed to the animals because Grace kept trying to feed them the wood chips.

Momma showing her how to do it.

Now Gracie's turn....it didn't work so well. The food kept falling out of her hands. She could not figure out that she needed to cup her hand.
Thought we would try it again with the babies. This worked a little better because you could only feed them 1 pellet at a time.
Finally!! With a little help from Daddy she was able to feed a goat. Funny thing, at least to me, she would not let me help her like this. Daddy seems to do certain things better than Momma. :)
After the petting zoo, we ventured indoors to see all the livestock that was there. This part she liked but was a little frustrated when she could not hug or pet all the animals.
However, she was able to pet a pig!
After all the animals, our last stop was the tractors. We tried getting her to sit in the tire but she was a little nervous.

Again, Daddy made it better.

On our way back to the train, all of us a little tired but a great time had by all.

Oh my goodness she is not a bit afraid of animals and they all looked so big beside her, I was afraid she was going to get squished. What wonderful memories she will have. You guys ROCK as parents!!!
