Birthday Party!!

For this years party we decided to do something a little different.  We have always had them at our house but we figured this year lets go somewhere.  After having 5 years of parties at our house I can certainly see the draw of going somewhere to have a party.  It was great to be able to just walk in and actually enjoy the party!  Normally I feel like I'm running around trying to get the house in order, line up all the games/projects the kids are going to do and then orchestrating it but this year I walked in and a lady just took everything from me and got the room ready to go plus she did all of the clean up too!  That being said I think I like the intimate feeling you get when hosting a party at your house.

Anyways on to the party....we hosted it at an indoor playland for the kids and everyone seemed to really enjoy themselves and the facility.

4 Years!!!

Well if six years seemed strange only a week earlier four years is no less strange!  How is the time going by so fast?  My beautiful, wonderful girls are growing up right before my eyes and becoming such wonderful and amazing little girls.  The past four years with this one has been quite the adventure!!  She certainly keeps you on your toes!  She is so full of spunk, yet in the next second she has the biggest heart ever and can be quite the charmer!  I'm sure the next four years and beyond with her will be just as much of a roller coaster but I couldn't imagine anyone else that I would want to be on the ride with than her!  :)

She seems a little crabby in this photo but I had to wake her up to go to school so she is sort of still asleep in this picture!

6 Years!!!

Six years, it just doesn't seem possible yet it is!  She has grown so much even in just these last few months! She has such a beautiful and big spirit and I'm pretty sure there hasn't been a day where she's not made me laugh!  Six years but they have been a wonderful and enjoyable six years with lots of ups and downs and we look forward to the next six years and more with her!

Coming April 2015

Kindergarten and Pre-school

Finally the day arrived for Grace to start Kindergarten!!  At least that is how she would have explained it to you since she has been waiting for this day what seems like forever!!  ;)  She was very much looking forward to the day that she could finally go to school like all of her friends.  Well most of her friends as the ones she has here are her age.  

The first day was a HUGE success and she could not wait to go back!!  Even now a couple months into the school year she still loves it!!

Likewise, Eva was just as excited to finally go to school too!!  She has been asking to go ever since Grace started Pre-K last year.  The first day as we were driving to school she asked me if I was planning on staying.  I said no, thinking great here it starts she is going to cry or be scared or something.  Nope  her response to me was YES!!  Hehe ;)

I couldn't get a good one of her in her room as she was running from area to area trying to check everything out.  Thankfully I snapped a quick one of her before we went in.

After being there for a couple months I'm pretty sure she still likes it.  Usually the days she is suppose to go she never wants to but upon coming out goes on and on about how much fun she has.  On the flip side the days she has off she asks over and over if she can please go to school.  So I'm going to say it is safe to say she likes it! :)

Trying to stay cool in August

It seems like a large part of August was spent trying to stay cool in the heat.  Some days were worse than others but I feel like about half of the month involved us doing some sort of water activity.

Every year the town we live in has a beat the heat event and this year we were able to make it.  I wasn't really sure what to expect and I didn't put the girls in their swim suits.  I brought them but they decided they didn't want to put them on.  It didn't make a difference to me as I brought extra clothes with.  Anyways at the end of the event the firetruck shows up and sprays everyone.  The kids had a blast!!

A trip to the fire station to learn about fire safety and to see all of the trucks.  "Momma, truck! Momma, truck! Momma, truck!"  I can not even begin to guess how many times I heard that while we were there. :)
