2 months!!

I would love to say that the second month of life was just as wonderful as the first.  Not to say it wasn't great but we certainly had some trying times in there or maybe it was just the lack of extra hands.  Thor loves to be held and wants to be held all day long!  Which is just not that possible with his sisters around!  Then there is the whole feeding/sleeping issue.  For about a week he no longer was sleeping at night and I felt like I was feeding him nonstop.  One night I was so exhausted that I finally gave him some formula...he slept!!  The next night we were right back into him being up all night and wanting to eat nonstop.  I think I did that for two more nights before I finally tried the formula again...he slept!! The next night I just tried formula right away and he slept 6 hours straight!!  Needless to say from that moment on he was getting a bottle of formula at night.  It seems I'm just not producing enough milk for this little guy.  That is at night, during the day I could not get him to sleep for more than 15 to 20 mins at a time unless I held him.  If I held him I could get about 30 minutes!!  Getting him to lay down and take a nap is a challenge.  Not that he doesn't do it he just does not do it every day!  Like I said maybe he is a great baby and I just need extra hands!! Or I just need to accept that I am never going to get anything really done at all!! :)
His appointment went great!  He was on the charts in all areas and he seems to be growing and doing the things he needs to be doing at this age!  At the doctor's office, back in the room, they have a huge mirror next to the table.  I was able to catch a picture of him checking himself out!!
2 month stats:
Weight: 11lbs 2oz (50%)
Height: 22 1/2" (25-50%)
Head: 15 1/2" (25-50%)

And to compare to his sisters.....
Grace
Weight: 11lbs (50%)
Height: 21 3/4" (30%)
Head: 15 1/4" (50%)
Eva
Weight: 12lbs 2 1/2oz (75%)
Height: 22" (50%)
Head: 50%
I don't have a measurement for this but assume it must be somewhere around the same size as Grace & Thor since they are also 50%

Randomness of January

Here are some random photos and a couple of videos from the month of well January of course since that is what the title says! ;)

This is Thor at about 3 weeks of life...holding his own head.  I would like to say this is the first time he did this but I can't.  The day he was born, or in the first 24 hours, he picked his head up off my shoulder and looked at me.  It was brief but regardless he did it!  This picture is the first that he held it long enough for me to take a picture! :)

Thor was crying and Grace wanted to hold him to see if she could get him to stop!  She is a very sweet big sister.  Whenever he gets up set she will go over and talk with him or even sing to him!

Tea time or coffee time if you live in our house!  The girls never have tea parties always coffee parties!!

First smiles caught on camera.
Such a ladies man! :) ;)
And he grew a 'stash already!!

Grace always takes my camera and takes pictures and it never fails she will always take at least one self portrait!

One cool gal!

Hiking

In February we had a couple of days were the sun was shining and it wasn't too cold out.  I think it was probably in the 50's or that is what Mark probably told me.  Since living in Texas for over 4 years it seems that my blood has thinned out and I can not take the cold.  I'm sure after a year or so here it will feel normal and warm or maybe just nice to me.  Anyways we decided to take advantage of it and go for a couple of hikes, as the girls call it, in our neighborhood!  Which is the best part, we can just walk out our door and within minutes be on these beautiful trails!  I can not wait to see what they will look like in the summer!

Since we found this lake with all of these ducks this is now the girls favorite trail and when we go out they get very excited to go see the ducks!  We have even gone a couple of times to feed them and the girls loved it!! However, do not open an umbrella while you are around them!  If you do they will all take flight for safety and won't come back out.  Just speaking from experience. ;) :) Hehe....sorry girls!

Grace started getting pretty brave and was feeding the ducks and geese from her hand.  We kept trying to explain that they may bite her but she didn't seem to care and kept saying she would be fine.  Thankfully she was fine and they didn't bite her!  In fact she even got to pet a duck!!  Crazy kid....she is definitely braver than I am!

First Bath

Just realized I never posted about Thor's first bath.  Not that it is a huge issue but I did for the girls and I want to be fair. :) Hehe Sorry I crack myself up.
First entering the bath he was not a big fan!

By the middle he was liking it.

All warm and snug in his pjs!!
He now LOVES bath time!!  He gets very excited, or maybe relaxed is a better word, when he realizes it is bath time!

Bowling

In January we decided to take the girls on a special outing.  It had been pretty cold and rainy here and they were needing to burn some energy and well we were needing to get out of the house.  So we decided to go bowling!!  This was the second time for Grace but the first for Eva!  They had a blast but by the end of game 1 they were ready to be done and on our way!

I was explaining yet again that they needed to keep their fingers back so they didn't get pinched between the balls.  They would get so excited that they would try to grab the ball as it was rolling back.

Eva found the hand dryer and stood here off and on all morning! :)

Thor even got in on the action.  Hehe
They had this nice metal contraption that the girls could put the ball on and push it down.  It was great for Eva because she could barely roll the ball hard enough to get it down to the pins.  Grace would sometimes use it and sometimes she would roll it down on her own!
And just who won....Daddy of course!!  I'm horrible at bowling.  Below are our scores and yes we did have the bumpers up.  Thankfully or my score would have been a lot worse! hehe
Daddy: 120
Mommy: 106
Grace: 81
Eva: 77
After the game we continued the outing by going out to eat at the Snoqualmie Brewery! Yummy!!
