Cha...Cha...Cha...Chaaannges

It seems that after just a short 2 1/2 years on the west coast, the Husby family is going on a new adventure!  Come this summer we will be packing up our belongings again and saying our goodbyes and headed to a new place.....sort of.  In just a short two months we will be headed to......

In other words, we are headed home!!  When we left over 7 years ago, Mark and I never figured we would be back to Jersey to live but it seems, like always, God had other things planned for us.  Even though we are moving back to Jersey it will be starting over again in a way.  When we lived there 7 years ago we lived in North Jersey, this time when we move back we will be in Central Jersey.  So it will be starting over in a way but this time we will have family and friends already in the state and just a short hour or so away.  An hour may seem really far but compared to a 6 hour plane ride an hour car ride is awesome! :)  Having family around will be different for us as we have never lived near family since having children.  We are excited for the kids to be able to enjoy more time with their Grandma and PopPop, along with their Tantes and Uncles, as well as to be able to see them enjoy the kids on a more regular basis.

Moving to a new place brings forth so many emotions.  The excitement of the move mixed in with the sadness to leave all that has become familiar to us but mainly the sadness of leaving the friends we have made here.....the friends who have become family to us.  The next couple months will be a whirlwind as we prepare for the move and sprinkle in as many get togethers with our friends as possible and then the actual moving.  We will be sad to leave behind those we have become close with, those who have become our family out here but we look forward to the new adventure that is before us.

It's a......

......GIRL!!!!
Josefine Joy was born over Easter weekend and we couldn't be happier or more excited to have this sweet little girl in our family!  She was 7lbs 1oz and 19"......just a tiny little thing.

Before she made a grand entrance into the world Mark and I took a guess at what we thought the birth weight was going to be and the sex.  We both said girl but Mark had the better guess at the weight than I did.  He guessed 7lbs 2 oz and I guessed 8lbs 3oz!  Boy was I way off!!  She just felt so much bigger than the other kids but I guess maybe she was just very active and doing flips or laps while she was on the inside. Hehe :)

Daddy and his girls!

A first for us....she has so much hair and dark hair at that!!  Generally our kids have the blondest hair and really no hair upon birth.

Meeting her big sisters and brother.....

Thankfully Mark's sister, Liz, and her fiance, Nick, were here with us over Easter!  It was such a relief to know that the kids were taken care of and we didn't need to rush around trying to get them to some place and then getting them to the hospital to see us.  Although I'm pretty sure the three of them gave them a run for their money and didn't go easy on them.  They all said they had a great time but I have a slight feeling that everyone was happy when we came home from the hospital. Hehe ;)

Home!!!

So far it seems like everyone adores Josefine!  We really have not had too many issues with any of the older kids and adjusting.  Sure there have been a couple of moments were we were a little out of sorts but they have been great with their baby sister.  Our biggest issue is everyone wanting to hold her all the time!!  I will gladly take that issue! :)

As with the other kids we had a shirt made for her to wear home from the hospital.  Her shirt says....
den siste Husby
Or in English.......the final Husby!! :)

Haircut

After a couple of haircuts and paying what seems like a ridiculous amount for such a small kid, Mark decided to put cutting hair on the long list of things he does for us around the house.  At least for Thor, the girls and I will just continue going to an actual place for our hair cuts! ;)

Thor did a great job sitting still for Mark, better than when we take him somewhere, and Mark did an awesome job!  Especially since it was his first time to ever cut hair.  Or first time to do a boys haircut.  He has cut Grace's hair after she tried cutting it herself once.  Anyways, we were both happy with it, Thor seemed happy with it so it seems we have started a new thing in our house and we get to save money too! Double bonus!! ;)

Auburgs come to town!!!

March started our month and half for visitors non-stop and we love it!  Our first visitors were our awesome friends from Texas!  It has been about 2 years since we have seen them and we loved every single minute of it....except for the part that it went by way too fast!!

The day they arrived we had gorgeous weather so after Grace got out of school we headed to the park!

The next day we headed into Seattle to show them as much as we could in a day and as much as you can see with 5 kids and one very pregnant guide! Hehe :)

The girls were able to have their own table at lunch and thought they were pretty cool.

After lunch we hopped on the monorail and headed down to the needle and surrounding areas.

After that we went to the market to see some fish being thrown around and to make a stop at the original Starbucks!

By the time we left the market it was almost 5:00 so we headed back home and stopped by a restaurant to eat.  It was probably the greatest idea we had all day!  They put us in a private room to ourselves where the kids could get up and down as much as they wanted, talk in normal voices (aka loud), and there was a TV which meant us adults could actually talk to each other during the meal and we didn't have to cook or clean up!!  It was perfect! :)

The next couple days were rather low key, with us hanging out at home and going to a play center for the kids.

Oh and we had a mommy/daughter date and went to the movie Cinderella!!

The last day they were here the sun came back out so we took them to see Snoqualmie Falls.  It was beautiful that morning!

And of course like all good things their time had to come to an end and since Mark was at work we crammed everyone into the Pilot.  Lucky for Carl he got the best seat in the whole car! ;) Hehe

Our sad good-byes and the only picture Jen and I took together the entire weekend!
We loved having them come to visit and so look forward to our next time together where ever that may be.  I love how after 2 years we can just pick up our friendships with them like there was no time apart!  I'm sure it helps with all the technology but I also think a large part has to do with our friendship in general.

Thanks for coming Auburgs!!  We love you and miss all of you so much! :)
