Food = Lots of Videos

We started giving Eva solid foods the end of January and she loves it! She would much rather have the actual food than nurse or have her bottle. Below are random videos of the first time she has tried most of the food. I had pictures as well but when it comes to food I think the videos are better this way you can enjoy and laugh with us over the faces she makes. However, she really doesn't make too many faces cause like I said she loves the food! Enjoy
Squash
Sweet Potatoes
Green Beans
Peas
Applesauce
Peaches...she had the same reaction to Pears but I could not get that video to upload so half way through this video just pretend she is eating pears. hehe ;)
Bananas

I have videos of her eating cereal that are pretty funny but like the pears they are not uploading. I don't know if they are too long or what. Anyways since these videos I have actually started making my own food and she now seems to prefer fruit over veggies. I guess the "real" fruit taste better than the baby food. She is also eating some finger foods too! She is just growing up way too fast!!

Birthdays

Over the last few months we have celebrated a lot of birthdays for our friends and one family member. I don't really have very many pictures cause I'm just not one of those people that snaps pictures at every event we go to or I just simply forget that I have the camera with me. However, at this one party I had it with me and I was so thankful I did. It was our good friend and neighbors birthday party. They had dancing and karaoki...scroll down and you can see why I was glad I had my camera!

She loved the singing and would keep going back to it every chance she could. She had a blast and as you can hear everyone loved it which was all the encouragement she needed to keep going back!

In February we got to celebrate Mark's birthday. We didn't do much just kept it low key. We took him out to dinner and then came home and had some apple crisp that Grace and I made. Below is the only picture that I took that actually turned out!

Teeth

In the last couple of days we have a few new teeth in our household. Grace finally cut her lower left 2yr molar!! This tooth has been bothering her for months now so it was wonderful to finally see it. Now to cut the other 3 molars....

However, Grace is not the only one with a new tooth, Eva has cut her first tooth!! You can not see it but if you stick a finger in her mouth you sure can feel it! :) This is how I discovered she had a tooth in there. She always wants to bite down on my knuckle and normally I let her but not any more. It hurts when I do that now.

6 months

The last couple of months have been filled with doctor appointments. Starting the end of February Eva started having trouble breathing. We started her on some breathing treatments but she was not getting better so we headed to the doctors. She was diagnosed with baby asthma. Grace had this and has since out grown it so there is hope that Eva will too. However, Eva was not responding to just one medicine and needed to go on another. After the start of that one she got better so we reduced the meds. only to have her start getting worse again. We went back to the doctors to see if she had anything else going on and nothing. Our doctor then referred us to an allergist since this was the only thing that made sense. (Pollen is high down here already.)

We learned from the allergist that she does not have any allergies as she is too young to have any airborne allergies. She just has asthma which he is saying she has developed from the RSV she had earlier this year. He says that since her lungs are still weak that any virus/cold she gets will cause her some problems with her breathing. He has not completely diagnosed her yet as this was just our first initial visit. He put her on a medicine 2 times a day for 6 weeks and then we go back. Since that appointment she has gotten so much better!! She is breathing normal now! :)
Last week we went back to the doctor for her 6month check-up. Other than the asthma she is doing great! She is growing right on track....she is healthy as can be! Eva seems to be more of a chatter box than a doer. By this point Grace was rolling and scooting around along with sitting however, Eva has her own ideas. She can sit but has yet to learn to catch herself as she tips from side to side and as for the rolling she finally has done this! Until the last day or two I was not able to get it on camera. I have it now and will post soon....I have to download it from the camera yet! :)

Its Fall or I mean Winter!

When we came home from Jersey we came back to a yard full of leaves!! While the girls were napping I raked them into a big pile so Grace could jump in them. She didn't really jump into it but she did have fun!!
