Portland

This fall we made a weekend trip to Portland.  We didn't do a ton of things while there but "doing" things as adults and "doing" things as adults with 3 children under the age of 5, one being 9 months, changes things slightly.  We mainly walked around while we went out to eat and went to the zoo.  This way the kids had fun moving as we took in the city and well they love the zoo so most places we go involve going to a zoo.
Our first day or night there we took the bus to downtown, walked around, went out to eat and decided to walk back to the hotel that night.
While walking we found Eva's cupcake store! ;)

Day 2.....
For breakfast we went to Byways Cafe which was featured on "Diners, Drive-ins, & Dives".  It was really good!! :)
After breakfast we hopped on the train and headed to the zoo.

The girls were able to get a stuffed animal as a souvenir.  Grace knew right away that she wanted a bald eagle which she named Swoft.  Eva not so much.  She could not decide which animal she wanted as she basically wanted them all. She finally settled on a black bear and named it Star Bear!

Day 3.....
We decided to take the girls to VooDoo Doughnuts that morning.  In case you have not heard of it, it is a famous doughnut place in Portland.
You could pretty much get a doughnut with anything on it that you would want. Such as different types of cereal and candy and nuts and frosting and etc.
Out of all of them, Grace picked a good old powder sugar doughnut!!

Over all it was nice to go to Portland.  I think I would maybe like to go again one day when the kids get a little older or maybe even sometime with out kids.  But in general this picture pretty much sums up what I thought of Portland....
.....and I'm not real sure they really need this sign! ;)
