Sleep-Over

While in Texas my baby had a grown up moment, she had her first sleep-over at a friends house with out Mommy or Daddy being there.  Of course I doubt she would have ever had a sleep-over at this age if we were still living there.  However, both myself and Jen thought it would be great if Grace & Presley's first sleep-over was with each other.  Once we moved we figured that was never going to happen but since we went back instead of the whole family staying with the Auburgs we decided to let just Grace go.

You may be thinking it is just a sleep-over or why on earth did their first sleep-over need to be with each other and well there is just a history with these too.  You see Presley is the little baby that I watched about 3 years ago.  They were together for a good part of Presley's first year of life and Grace's second year.  I started watching Presley when she was 4 months old and Grace had basically just turned a year.  So in short they grew up with each other.  I only watched Presley for one year, not even, but only because Eva came along.  Presley and her family will always have a special place in all of our hearts.  She was like family that year, like a built in friend that became like a sister to Grace.  From the time I stopped watching her until we moved any chance we had to see Presley was awesome....just ask Grace!  Anyways, these two have a special bond with each other so we wanted their first sleep-over to be together.  We thought it was only fitting!

Anyways back to the sleep-over.....it went pretty good considering all things.  Eva was a little sad to learn that Grace was getting to go over to Presley's to play and she couldn't go.  So after talking with Jen and Carl, Eva got to go too!!  But only to play at bedtime she came back home.  To be honest I'm not sure how much she really played with Grace and Presley cause when she talks about that night it is always about Molly, their dog, and about how Mr. Carl & her went on an adventure with Molly!! (The ride back to the house was the adventure!)

Not sure why but they look so grown-up in this picture.  Maybe because it is a picture from a sleep-over and sleep-overs are a grown up sort of thing.  Anyways, the night went good except for one little hick-up.  Grace woke up and got a little scared and started to cry.  However, Carl was able to calm her down and got her to go back to sleep so the sleep-over was a success!!  At least I'm counting it as a success since there was no phone call asking me to come get her or saying they were bringing her home!!

The next day everyone went over to the Auburg's house to play and have lunch!  Just like the days prior the time flew by but was a blast!!
