This year over Memorial Day weekend we decided to get away. We went to Oklahoma City to meet my sister, Shilo and her family. Oklahoma City is about a 7 hour drive from us. I was a little nervous about how Grace would do on the trip since she is not all that crazy about her car seat but she did great! We left on Saturday at 3:45 A.M. with the hope that she would sleep a majority of the trip. It worked!! She was only awake for about 2 hours of the trip going. However coming home she probably slept just over 3 hours. She fell asleep as soon as we pulled out of the hotel and slept until Dallas. A little ways out of Dallas we stopped for some lunch so she could get out and move around. The rest of the way home she slept for about 30 mins right until we hit Houston. She went back to sleep in Houston until we got home. You may be thinking well that is not very long but it takes about 45 mins. to get from the north side of Houston to the south side where we live.
While in Oklahoma we really didn't do too much. We mainly hung out at the hotel playing games and swimming. Grace loved the pool!! We sort of figured she would since the favorite time of day for her is bath time. While we were there we also went mini-golfing and walked around a botanical garden. All in all it was a very enjoyable and relaxing weekend.
There was a sign that said, "Stay out of water" but we didn't listen. Mainly cause we wanted to see what she would do.
She of course loved it,
and kept trying to sit in it.
She really liked watching the ducks.

That looks like a very fun weekend get away. But that is close enough to the ducks don't let her get any closer ok????
I have a phobia about ducks, birds, and anything else with feathers on could you tell???
