This year we had some pre-Christmas fun through out the month of December.
The first thing we did was go to the Festival of Lights down in Galveston at Moody Gardens. We went with our good friends the Auburgs and the Scogins! We all had such a great time but all of us forgot our actual cameras so we did what anyone else would do and used our phones!! It was at this moment that I realized or learned that my phone does not take very good photos at night. Thankfully Jennifer was able to get a photo of us with her phone!
The next four photos are from my phone. They are not that bad and yet not that good but are the best out of several that I took. This was a really cool thing to go to and I'm sure it will be something that we do every year from this moment forward. The light displays were so cool to see and they had music to go with them as well. The best display was that of the birth of Jesus. Every few minutes the birth of Jesus would be told starting with an angel appearing to Mary right up until the wisemen come. While the story is being told only those lights will be lit. Is that confusing? Basically all is dark when they talk about an angel appearing to Mary only Mary and an angel light up. The lights go out and they move on to the next part of the story and so on and so on. I hope that makes sense but if not take my word for it, it was cool! :)
Cupcake break!!
Christmas tree farm was the next stop for some pre-Christmas fun! We went here last year and could not wait to go back again this year. It is such a fun thing to do with the girls.
Of course Grace had to go sledding....Texas style!
On the way to the hayride we had to stop and pet the horse!
The best photo of the 3 of us!
Learning to tell how old a tree is.
Petting the horses again.
This photo cracks me up. I love how Eva is trying to climb the fence but I also like Grace in the background. She is over by the gate to get in. She doesn't look guilty in this picture however she is not just standing there simply looking at the horses. Right after taking this I had to quickly run around and stop her from going into the pen!! She figured out how to unlock the gate!
Eva was not a fan of Texas sledding
Those of us not on the Texas sledding hill had the job of roasting the hotdogs for lunch and then the marshmallows for....
Smores!
The Christmas Train was the final stop for some pre-Christmas fun. Every year a local church displays some lights and opens it to the public. For a very small fee you can go on a train ride to see all of the lights they have up!
Waiting patiently with Margot and Natalee for our turn on the train.
Natalee and Eva...oh what do you know she looked away! This has become a normal of her lately, she turns away, walks away or no longer smiles. You really have to distract her when you are trying to get a good picture of her!
In this photo she had no idea I was taking it.
I asked the girls to say cheese. :)
According to Grace this is a picture of mountains not trees!
And of course a little popcorn before and after the ride!
