The first 2 weeks of life were pretty good for Thor and all of us. He was a great sleeper and gave us very much needed sleep at night. He would wake up to eat but would go right back to sleep. It was great!!
His 2 week stats are as follows:
Weight: 7lbs 15oz (60%)
Height: 21" (95%)
Head size: 14 1/2" (95%)
Unlike the girls, Thor had a 1 month appointment. He had one for two different reasons, first because they do a one month appointment in the state of Washington and second we changed doctors. The doctor that we originally picked out turned out not to be so great. I'm sure she is a very nice lady and a good doctor but just was not the doctor for us. The first month of life started to get harder on all of us about half way through. Both Mark and I knew it was coming because he had all the symptoms that the girls had. He was diagnosed with acid reflux and was put on medicine. Of course the studies now show that the medicine doesn't do much but the doctor was willing to put him on it if it helped the girls. It did help them and it is helping him tremendously. He of course still spits up but he is just not in pain when he does it! Other than his eating or spitting up things in the first month were great!
His stats are below. However, I need to note that this doctor uses a different chart to figure out the percentages than the first doctor we went to. They can either measure them against or use the US standards or the world standards. I of course forget which one uses what but regardless he is on the charts and is growing so I'm not really all that concerned about which chart they use.
